Nepal sees 19 new coronavirus cases in past 24 hours

KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 19 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Sunday.

Out of the confirmed cases, 11 were detected through the RT-PCR method and eight through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 3,453 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours. Of them, 2,162 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 1291 through the Antigen method.

Currently, there are 106 active cases in the country as 12 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

No person died due to coronavirus in the past 24 hours. The COVID-19 death toll in the country stands at 11,952 to date.
