KATHMANDU: Abiding by the recommendation made by the COVID-19 Crisis Management Center (CCMCC), the Kathmandu Valley has gone into smart lockdown from Wednesday.
Issuing a directive on Monday, the district administration offices of the Valley have appealed the public to strictly abide by the COVID-19 related health safety protocols.
With the surge in the COVID-19 cases, the government has put a ban on the mass meetings and fair.
A meeting of the chief district officers of Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur held on Tuesday decided to put a ban on political assemblies, rallies, fair, etc., as measures to curb the increasing cases of COVID-19.
According to the order issued by the District Administration Office, Kathmandu, face mask is mandatory for commuters while using public vehicles and those going outdoors to public places.
Similarly, people have to maintain social distancing, wash hands with soaps frequently, use sanitizers and follow health protocols.
Likewise, the directive issued by the administration has restricted a gathering of more than 25 people.
It has been mandatory for people to produce vaccination cards while entering hotels, restaurants, film halls, stadiums and while boarding flights from January 21.
