POKHARA: Minister for Education, Science and Technology Devendra Poudel has said the role of the media was crucial in the country’s political and social transformation.
Minister Poudel said the media should play a meaningful role to establish the agendas forwarded by the political parties, and the government’s performance.
Minister Poudel was of the view that journalists’ capacity building was equally important along with the contextual development of the media industry.
Terming social networking sites as a strong medium, Minister Poudel called for proper utilization of social networking sites.
Poudel, who is also the secretary of the CPN (Maoist Centre), said his party would emerge as the largest force among the leftist force in the country adding that the party was established for carrying the agendas of transformation.
