Nepal defeats Oman by six wickets in T20 Series

KATHMANDU: Nepal beat Oman by six wickets in its first match under the T20 Series, comprising four countries.

The match was held at the Al Amerat Cricket Stadium in Oman. Nepal triumphantly chased the 136 runs target posted by Oman in 19.3 overs at the loss of four wickets.

For it, Dipendra Singh Airee hit the highest 73 runs off 53 balls with one six and eight fours. Similarly, Aarif Shek contributed 25, Aasif Shek 14 and Gyanendra Malla 13.

For Oman, Kaleemullah took two wickets and Khawar Ali one. Invited to bat first after losing the toss, Oman made 135 runs in the allotted 20 overs losing six wickets. For it, Mohammad Nadeem remained undefeated on 43 runs and Zeeshan Maqsood hit 31.

Similarly, Jatinder Singh contributed 13, Ayaan Khan 11 and Kashyap Prajapati 11. For Nepal, Abinash Bohara took three wickets while Captain Sandeep Lamichhane, Kamal Airee and Aarif one wicket each. Nepal is facing UAE tomorrow (Saturday).
