Govt administering COVID-19 vaccine to children aged 12-17 in Valley today

KATHMANDU: The government is administering COVID-19 vaccine to the children aged 12 to 17 years in the Kathmandu Valley today.

Issuing a notice on Monday, the Ministry of Health and Population said the vaccines will be administered to the children of the above-mentioned age group in the schools of three districts – Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur.

The vaccination campaign has already started in some of the local units of these districts, according to the Ministry.

Pfizer, Moderna vaccines will be administered to the children, said the Ministry.

Meanwhile, the Ministry has urged people to take their children with the ID cards clearing showing their age to the designated vaccination centres for vaccination.
