Floods sweep away over one dozen houses in Darchula; 11 people missing



DARCHULA: Incessant rains-triggered flood has caused heavy damage in the Bangabagad area of ​​Khalanga, the headquarters of Darchula.

More than a dozen houses have been washed away by floods, authorities said.

Jagat Magar, Police Inspector at the District Police Office, Darchula said that the flood swept away one suspension bridge and one concrete bridge.

According to him, as many as 11 people are missing so far.

He informed that the rescue work is undergoing.

Nepal Army, Nepal Police and Armed Police Force personnel have been deployed at the scene of the incident for rescue operations.

The flood caused massive flooding in Lasku river and Mahakali river.
