Head of CCP’s International Liaison Department Jianchao arrived in Kathmandu earlier on Sunday leading a six-member team. The delegation is on a four-day visit to Nepal.

Upon arrival, the CCP leader has held his first meeting with PM Deuba.

After the meeting with the Prime Minister, he is scheduled to meet Foreign Minister Narayan Khadka.

Foreign Minister Khadka is also hosting a dinner in honor of CPP leader Jianchao at Hotel Marriott.

The CCP leader’s visit after assuming the responsibility of the CCP department and holding of talks with top political leadership here shows China has been prioritizing Nepal.

Before arriving here, he had held virtual dialogues with CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli, Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and Foreign Minister Khadka.

The CCP Foreign Department Chief is staying at Hotel Dwarika.
