Nepal’s economy is not headed toward crisis, claims Information Minister Karki

KATHMANDU: Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Gyanendra Bahadur Karki has dismissed reports that Nepal was treading on the path of economic crisis like Sri Lanka.

Karki, who is also the spokesperson of the government, argued that the government was well aware that the country’s economy would not meet the fate of Sri Lanka.

“Such statements are baseless,” he argued, urging everyone not to be swayed and deluded by baseless statements.

It is a deliberate rumor to say that country’s economy is going the Sri Lankan path.
