KATHMANDU: Women activists have staged an anti-China protest for atrocity inflicted by the China government over Uyghurs minority, recently.
A large number of women, especially from Muslim community, on Tuesday on the occasion of 112th International Women’s Day, gathered in Stanbul and shouted slogans against China for its atrocity inflicted on Uyghurs ethnic minority.
Shouting anti-China slogans and displaying placards, demonstrators called for international community to end economic ties with China and boycott Chinese goods as part of the pressure on the country to release Uyghurs captives and end the ongoing discrimination against them.
Many people from various walks of life from Uyghurs minority in China have been kept in concentration camps, which is no different than a prison, for their religious beliefs by the China government.
