Snowfall lures tourists in Kalinchowk



DOLAKHA: A large number of domestic and international tourists have thronged Kalinchowk, a pristine destination in the district of Dolakha, for sightseeing and enjoy the snowfall.

Kalinchowk is also a popular destination for religious viewpoint as devotees pay homage to Kalinchowk Bhagawati.

In the recent past, Kalinchowk and its vicinity witnessed this season’s first snowfall that resulted in huge number of tourists’ arrival. As a result of visitors’ influx, the hotels in Kuri bazaar have enjoyed full occupancy.

Hotelier Ram Tamang said tourist arrival has surged after this season’s snowfall compared to the past. He said the hoteliers in Kuri bazaar are struggling to accommodate the guests thanks to a huge number of visitors. On weekends, the area witnesses a sudden rise in the number of visitors.

The eye-catching beauties of Gaurishankar, Dorjee Lakpa, Rolwaling, Jugal, Langtang and other peaks seen from Kalinchowk are spellbinding for the tourists.

Ramita Regmi, a visitor from Kathmandu, said she had never seen the snow so close to her eyes. “So, we friends arrived immediately after getting information about the fresh snowfall here,” Regmi stated. (RSS)
