KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress (NC)’s office-bearers have deliberated on the agendas to be presented in the meeting of the Central Working Committee (CWC) slated for Thursday.
At the meeting convened at the official residence of the Prime Minister at Baluwatar, in Kathmandu, on Wednesday, the officials dwelt on 16 district working committees that remains to hold district convention, sister organizations whose term has expired, and the upcoming local level election, among other issues, that will be presented at the CWC meeting.
According to NC Spokesperson Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat, Prime Minister and NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba was also briefed about the issues discussed in the meeting held among the officials at party’s central office at Sanepa on Tuesday.
Spokesperson Mahat said that they would reach a conclusion on how to move ahead further after collecting recommendations from the CWC’s meeting. The major ruling party NC has called for CWC meeting at 2 pm tomorrow at the party’s central office at Sanepa.
The district conventions in 16 districts remain to be held due to COVID-19 while the government recently announced to hold the local level election on May 13 this year in a single phase.
