KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has lamented the decision of its former chairperson, Kamal Thapa, to quit the party.

The party has urged Thapa to reconsider his decision to relinquish the party.

The RPP has also asked party cadres and well-wishers of all levels to not get swayed away by the incident and to move ahead without deviating from the working strategy set forth by the party’s general convention and principled stance on the revival of monarchy and Hindu State.

The party has also called on all-level leaders and cadres to engross their efforts in the preparation of the upcoming local election.

It may be noted that Thapa who was defeated by Rajendra Lingden in the party presidential race in the last general convention has been alleging the latter of taking decisions in a unilateral manner.

Thapa decided to disassociate himself from the party in this pretext.
