LSP leaders in Baluwatar for decisive talks with the ruling coalition

KATHMANDU: Leaders of the Loktantrik Samajbadi Party (LSP) have reached at Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba’s official residence in Baluwatar to finalize the seat allocation with the ruling coalition for the November 20 elections.

LSP joined the coalition after the ruling partner Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) withdrew from the coalition disagreeing with the seat allocation among the alliance  parties.

JSP walked out of the ruling coalition after getting assurance of around 25 seats provided it tied the election knot with the main opposition party CPN-UML.

As soon as the JSP got the nod, LSP leaders went to Baluwatar to join the government and coordinate the elections.

Sources close to the Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba claim that LSP has got the assurance of 15 seats from the ruling coalition.

LSP leader Laxman Lal Karna, who reached Baluwatar, informed that despite calling for a meeting at 8 o’clock this morning, the meeting did not start till 9 o’clock.

“Now we have come to Baluwatar for discussion but the meeting has not started. We will have decisive talks today,” he said.
