NEPSE loses 2.13 points to settle at 1,937.74 on Thursday



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index lost 2.13 points and settled at 1,937.74 points on Thursday, the last trading day of this week.

The index lost 0.11 percent today (Thursday). The index had lost 11.97 points on Wednesday.

The index that opened at 1,940.19 points, made an intraday low of 1,925.22, an intraday high of 1,947.91 and ultimately closed at 1,937.74 points.

A total of 3,401,762 shares of 227 companies were traded via 22,176 transactions, resulting in a turnover of Rs 1.04 billion in the secondary market today.

Meanwhile, the highest gainer of the day was Global IME Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited whose share prices went up by 4.49 percent in the index today. Likewise, Samudayik Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited lost the highest 6.49 percent.

Himalayan Everest Insurance Limited registered the highest turnover while the shares of Nabil Bank Limited was the top stock by No. of Transactions.

Six sector indices closed green, “Finance” gained the highest 1.37 percent while “Others” lost the highest 1.33 percent.
