T-20 World Cup trophy to be brought to Nepal



KATHMANDU: The T20 Cricket World Cup trophy will be brought to Nepal for the first time. The trophy will be brought to Kathmandu during the T20 World Cup starting from October 16 in Australia.

According to the International Cricket Council (ICC), the trophy tour has started from Friday.

The journey to take the trophy to different cities of the world has started 100 days before the start of the World Cup. The ICC has stated that the trophy will be brought to Kathmandu on August 30.

However, it has not been revealed which cities of Nepal will have the privilege of hosting the trophy. The trophy tour will be conducted in 35 cities in 13 different countries.

The T20 World Cup trophy is about to reach Nepal, Fiji, Finland, Germany, Ghana, Indonesia, Japan, Namibia, Singapore and Vanuatu for the first time. Earlier, the trophy of the ODI Cricket World Cup was brought to Nepal in 2019.
