Lighting kills two in separate places



KATHMANDU: Two people have died after being struck by lightning strikes in Gulmi and Makwanpur districts.

Tara Sarki, 40, of Bajaune Danda in Isma rural municipality-5 of Gulmi died after being struck by lightning on Monday evening.

Tara, who sustained injuries due to lightning strikes while working in her field, breathed her last in the course of treatment at the district hospital.

Similarly, Jamuna Maya Moktan, 37, of Hiledmar in Manhari rural municipality-6 of Makwanpur died after being struck by lightning yesterday evening, according to police.
