NEW DELHI: India has registered 83,876 new cases, 22.0% lower than Sunday.
The total caseload now stands at 4,22,72,014. As many as 895 deaths were reported in the last 24 hours, increasing the total reported death count to 5,02,874, India Today reports.
India’s active caseload stands at 11,08,938. In the last 24 hours, active cases declined by 1,16,073.
A total of 1,99,054 patients recovered in the last 24 hours, which brings the total recoveries to 4,06,60,202 across the country. India’s recovery rate now stands at 96.19%.
The top five states which have registered maximum cases are Kerala with 26,729 cases, followed by Maharashtra with 9,666 cases, Karnataka with 8,425 cases, Tamil Nadu with 6,120 cases and Madhya Pradesh with 5,171 cases.
India administered a total of 14,70,053 doses in the last 24 hours, which took the total tally of doses administered to 1,69,63,80,755.
