NRB issues Unified Circular 2022 to BFIs involved in foreign exchange



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has issued Unified Circular 2022 for banks and financial institutions (BFIs) involved in foreign exchange.

NRB’s Foreign Exchange Management Department issued the consolidated directive to all entities licensed to exchange foreign currency, including the central bank’s Banking Department, on Friday.

The notice is circulated to all NRB offices in provinces, Class A commercial banks, Class B development banks and other financial institutions involved in foreign exchange.

NRB has stated that the Unified Directive 2022 incorporated all the directives issued since Unified Circular 2019 till December 31, 2021.

The latest Unified Directive 2022 covers 31 topics and contains 303 pages.
