While selecting the candidate, recommendations made for the candidates from different levels of the party according to the statute, personal qualifications, morals, work ability, contribution to the democratic movement, social role, contribution to different levels and areas of the party, popularity and prospects for the future have been used as one of the basis.

The NC will not field those candidate contesting the local level elections held on May 13 again for November 20.

The NC is preparing to select candidates today and tomorrow as nomination registration is on October 9.
