Nepal sees 300 new coronavirus cases in past 24 hours

KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 300 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Tuesday.

Of the confirmed cases, 177 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 123 through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 4,590 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Of them, 1,981 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 2,609 through the Antigen method.

Currently, there are 2,457 active cases in the country as 124 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

No coronavirus related death was recorded in the past 24 hours, and the COVID-19 death toll in the country stands at 12,007 to date.
