Two govt employees held with bribe money

KATHMANDU: Two staffers of the survey office, Chahabil have been arrested with bribe money in Budhanilkantha.

The arrested have been identified as surveyors Binod KC and Prakash Raj Bhatta.

Acting on a complaint, a team deployed by the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) caught surveyors KC and Bhatta red-handed with Rs 100,000 in bribe money taken from the service recipients.

They had solicited the bribe from service recipients for updating land ownership records.

CIAA Spokesperson Shyam Prasad Bhandari has informed that further investigation is underway.
