Man entering Nepal from India held with Rs. 3.8 million hidden in fuel tank of motorbike



KATHMANDU: Armed Police Force (APF) has arrested a youth entering Nepal from India by concealing Rs 3.8 million inside the fuel tank of a two-wheeler on Thursday.

The arrested has been identified as Amit Kumar Yadav, 23, of Laxminiya Rural Municipality-1 of Dhanusha.

APF Inspector Sajay Baral said the amount in Nepali rupees was found from Yadav’s motorcycle during a security check at Jatahi in Nagarain Municipality of Dhanusha. He added APF personnel grew suspicious after finding the fuel tank had nut and bolts instead of fuel cap. Preliminary questioning of the arrested indicated that he works in the Hundi business.

APF said it would handed over Yadav to Nepal Police for further investigation.
