Nov 20 polls: Printing of ballot papers complete



KATHMANDU: The printing of ballot papers for the November 20 elections to the House of Representatives and the Province Assembly has been completed.

Approximately 80 million ballot papers (40 million under the first-past-the-post and the remaining 40 million under the proportional election) have been printed, according to the Election Commission.

Over 17.9 million eligible voters are participating in the elections. Supplying ballot papers to the designated polling centers and stations for proportional representation has been over.

The EC has been supplying the essentials under the first-past-the-post system.

On Friday, the ballot papers were supplied to Taplejung, Panchthar, Ilam, Jhapa, Sankhuwasabha, Terhathum, Bhojpur, Dhankuta, Morang and Sunsari districts.

Similarly, the ballot papers were supplied to Gandaki, Karnali, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim Provinces.
