CPN-Unified Socialist mulls shuffle of party’s Ministers

KATHMANDU: The Secretariat meeting of the CPN (Unified Socialist) dwelt on performance of party’s ministers in the federal government and mulled over shuffling them.

The agenda of meeting held on Sunday was considerations for replacing ministers.

Deputy General Secretary of the party Gangalal Tuladhar said the agenda would be discussed with top leaders and Chair Madhav Kumar Nepal would make the final call on the matter.

“Our ministers had initial term of six months, which has already passed. That’s why we reviewed their performance,” he said, adding, “After discussions with top leaders, the ministers can be called back if the chair deems it fit.”

He added that the ministers must abide by the party directive if ministers are called back.

“The ministers will remain as minister as long as the party deems it necessary. If the party adjusts its needs and calls them back, they should take it as normal affair. And even new ministers to be deployed should take it as a normal process.”
