CAN calls 19 women cricketers for closed-training



KATHMANDU: The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has called 19 players for closed training for the ACC Women’s T20 Championship.

According to CAN, 15 out of 19 players will be selected in the national team.

Nepal is in Group B of the Championship along with Hong Kong, Kuwait, Bhutan and Bahrain.

In the tournament to be held in Malaysia, Nepal will play against Bhutan on June 17.

Similarly, Nepal will play its second match against Kuwait on June 18, third against Bahrain on June 20 and third against Hong Kong on June 21.

Players, who have been invited for closed training, include Rubina Chhetri, Indu Verma, Sita Ranamagar, Jyoti Pandey, Kajol Shrestha, Kabita Kuwar, Apsari Begum, Kabita Joshi, Doli Bhatta, Sabnam Rai, Sarita Magar, Roma Thapa, Sangita Rai, Asmina Karmacharya, Manisha Upadhyay, Bindu Rawal, Mamata Chaudhary, Rekha Rawal, and Ishwari Bista.
