Light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorm, lightning forecast



KATHMANDU: Light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorm and lightning has been predicted at some places of the country.

However, the weather across the country is partially to generally cloudy.

According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, there is influence of local wind as well as low pressure trough spread from Uttar Pradesh of India to West Bangladesh.

The sky in hilly areas of the country including in Province 1 and Madhes Province would witness partially to generally cloudy weather while there is possibility of light to moderate rainfall along with thunderstorm and lightning at some places of Province 1, Madhes Province, Bagmati and Gandaki Provinces, added the Department.

The weather in Province 1, Madhes, Bagmati and Gandaki Provinces is partially to generally cloudy as well as few places of Province 1 and Madhes Provinces have now been experiencing light rainfall with thunderstorm and lightning.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, today’s minimum temperature of Kathmandu Valley was recorded 19.8 degree Celsius and maximum temperature 29.5 degree Celsius.
