Eight people, including police, arrested for looting Sambridhdhi pharmacy in Nayabazar

KATHMANDU: Eight people have been arrested on charges of looting a pharmacy in Naya Bazaar, Kathmandu.

According to police sources, Kathmandu police nabbed the group involved in looting goods from various places.

“Police have nabbed a group of people who had entered Sambriddhi pharmacy claiming to be police and had looted cash, mobile phone and watch from the counter and fled,” the police said.

Among those arrested are a policeman and a former police officer as well.

According to the Metropolitan Crime Branch, eight persons, including Subash Ratoki, a police constable working in the Security Coordination Unit of the Supreme Court, have been arrested.

Similarly, former police constable Devi Prasad Dhital has also been nabbed along with Shankar Regmi of Dhading, Hikmat Mahata of Dadeldhura, Milan Bohara of Kanchanpur, Bhabindra Bega of Panchthar, Yogendra Bahadur Chand of Dailekh and Kamal Sunar of Pyuthan.
