‘Kundali Prakash’, a book on kundali making unveiled in Kathmandu



KATHMANDU: A book on creation of kundali (birth chart) has been launched in Kathmandu on Saturday.

Written by assistant professor at the Valmeeki Vidhyapeeth in Kathmandu, Dr Madhav Prasad Pande, the book ‘Kundali Prakash’ was recently unveiled at a program organized by Valmeeki Vidhyapeeth’s Department of Astrology.

Launching the book, Dr Jagman Gurung, Officiating Chancellor of the Nepal Academy, commended that Dr Pande had significantly contributed to the oriental philosophy by publishing the book that ought to be done by the Valmeeki Vidhyapeeth.

He emphasized the need for writing and publishing such books with research in astrology.

The 320-page book contains contents on making birth chart as per the lunar calendar and is believed to be useful for the students of Sanskrit in Shastri (Bachelors level), it was shared.

On the occasion, Chairperson of the Nepal Calendar Determination Development Committee, Prof Shree Krishna Adhikari, Prof Dr Rishiram Poudel and Prof Ram Prasad Adhikari were feted in recognition to their contribution to teaching astrology.

The feted personalities viewed that the newly launched book would help satiate curiosity of astrology enthusiasts besides catering to astrology students and teachers.

The book is priced at Rs 459. This is Dr Pande’s fourth book on astrology.
