NC’s Pandey leading by 1991 votes in Bajura

BAJURA: Nepali Congress candidate for the House of Representatives member from Bajura Badri Pandey has taken the lead with 1,991 votes.

Pandey has got 14,115 votes while CPN-UML’s Karna Bahadur Thapa has got 12,114 votes.

UML’s Chetan Aydi died after being beaten up by NC cadres workers after a dispute during voting on the election day.

Counting of votes in Bajura was stopped after Aydi’s death.

After the Election Commission decided not to re-vote, the counting of votes started in Bajura from Thursday.
