Nepal sees 200 new coronavirus cases, two deaths in past 24 hours

KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 200 new cases of coronavirus and two deaths in the past 24 hours as of Saturday.

Of the confirmed cases, 92 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 108 through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 3,537 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Of them, 1,381 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 2,156 through the Antigen method.

Currently, there are 2,642 active cases in the country as 339 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

Two more coronavirus related deaths were recorded in the past 24 hours, and the COVID-19 death toll in the country stands at 12,007 to date.
