Prachanda presents nine agendas in Maoist Center CC meeting

KATHMANDU: CPN-Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has presented nine agendas to be discussed at the ongoing Central Committee (CC) meeting of the CPN-Maoist Center.

Addressing the inauguration ceremony of the three day long CC meeting in Pragya Bhawan, Kamaladi, Kathmandu on Sunday, Prachanda presented nine agendas for discussion.

During the three-day meeting, the Maoist Center Chair presented the agendas ranging from paying tribute to the martyrs, swearing in a new member of the Central Committee, reporting from the chairperson about the meeting process, reporting on the party’s status in the provinces, reporting on the current situation from the chairperson, organizational issues and structure, and review of local elections as the issues to be discussed in the meeting.

In the meantime, while presenting the report from their provinces, the chairperson and in-charge of the provincial committee have demanded that the name of the office bearers has to be settled by the ongoing meeting itself.

Maoist Center’s Bagmati Chair Saral Sahayatri Poudel, among others, demanded that the office bearers have to be chosen even by prolonging a 3-day-meeting for five days.

The participants demanded that a high-level committee be formed to investigate the rigging in the local elections and also asked the party leadership to initiate action against the rebels or betrayers.
