Nepal sees 59 new coronavirus cases in past 24 hours



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 59 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours as of Wednesday.

Of the confirmed cases, 46 cases were detected through the RT-PCR method and 13 through Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 3,642 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Out of the total samples 1,602 were tested through RT-PCR and 2,040 through Antigen method.

Currently, there are 553 active cases in the country as 21 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

No coronavirus-related death was recorded in the past 24 hours, and the COVID-19 death toll stands at 12,019 to date.
