Nepal sees 206 new coronavirus cases, three deaths in past 24 hours



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 206 new cases of coronavirus and three deaths in the past 24 hours as of Friday.

Of the confirmed cases, 134 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 72 through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 2,869 swab samples were tested in the past 24 hours.

Of them, 1,595 samples were tested through RT-PCR and 1,274 through the Antigen method.

Currently, there are 2891 active cases in the country as 398 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

Three more coronavirus related deaths were recorded in the past 24 hours, and the COVID-19 death toll in the country stands at 12,005 to date.
