Nepal sees 3,639 new coronavirus cases, 12 deaths in past 24 hours

1,123 cases in Kathmandu valley



KATHMANDU: The country recorded a total of 3,637 new cases of coronavirus and twelve deaths in the past 24 hours as of Wednesday.

Of the confirmed cases today, 2,205 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 1,432 from the antigen method.

Likewise, there are 868 cases in Kathmandu, 85 in Bhaktapur and 170 cases in Lalitpur, taking the Valley’s total to 1,123 cases.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, there were 12 corona virus-related deaths have been added to the COVID-19 death tally in the past 24 hours. With this, the COVID-19 death toll in the country is 11,766 to date.

Currently, there are 69,291 active cases in the country as 7,555 infected patients recovered.
