Casinos, including Yak & Yeti and Radisson, yet to pay Rs 860 million in revenue



KATHMANDU: The government has issued notice to five casinos that have not paid revenue of about Rs 860 million.

Following the directive of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister Prem Bahadur Ale, the Department of Tourism has identified five casinos, including the one being operated at Hotel Yak & Yeti and Radisson Hotel.

The Department has given a deadline of 35 days to clear the dues.

According to the Department, Hotel Yak & Yeti owes Rs 206.81 million and Oriental Hotels Limited (Radisson Hotel), Lazimpat owes Rs 187.6 million.

The Department on Wednesday issued notices to Rock International Pvt. Ltd., Happy Hour Pvt. Ltd. and Central Media Pvt.

According to the Department, Rock International owes Rs 114.582 million, Happy Hour Rs 215.5 million and Central Media Rs 133.95 million.
