Cabinet likely to appoint new IGP today



KATHMANDU: A meeting of the Council of Ministers is scheduled to be held on Sunday.

The meeting will be held at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar today.

The meeting is preparing to appoint an Inspector General of Police (IGP) for Nepal Police and Armed Police Force.

The government is likely to decide in this regard as the leadership of both the organizations is going on compulsory leave from today.

Inspector General of Nepal Police Shailesh Thapa Chhetri and IGP of the Armed Police Force Pushparam KC are going on compulsory leave from today.
