KATHMANDU: The printing of ballot papers for the upcoming local level elections has started.

The Janak Education Material Center has informed that the printing of ballot papers has started in the printing press of the Center.

According to Surya Prasad Aryal, the deputy spokesperson of the Election Commission, the printing of mock ballot papers was completed on Thursday itself and ballot papers to be used in the polling centers will begin from today.

Around 180,000 mock ballot papers were printed for the voters education program yesterday and the preparations to print around 20 million ballot papers are underway from today, targeting the local polls to be held on May 13.
