India’s daily Covid-19 case count falls below 2 lakh



NEW DELHI: India’s daily Covid-19 case count fell below 2 lakh on Tuesday.

India reported 1,67,059 new Covid-19 cases in 24 hours, bringing the country’s cumulative caseload to 4,14,69,499, India Today reported.

India’s daily Covid-19 cases on Tuesday were 20.4 percent lower than what was reported on Monday, it said.

In the same 24 hours, India also reported 1,192 Covid-19 deaths, taking the total reported Covid-19 toll to 4,96,242.

Meanwhile, 2,54,076 patients recovered from Covid-19 in 24 hours on Tuesday, bringing the total recoveries to 3,92,30,198 across the country. India’s recovery rate now stands at 94.6 percent.

India’s active caseload stands at 17,43,059 at present. In the last 24 hours, active cases declined by 88,209.
