Nepal records 1,664 new COVID-19 cases, 20 deaths in last 24 hours

KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 1,664 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, out of the 9,117 people who underwent tests through the RT-PCR method, 1,523 persons tested positive for COVID-19 while of the 3,105 Antigen tests, 141 tested positive.

According to the Ministry, 20 people have succumbed to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 1,786 persons have returned home after a complete health recovery from COVID-19.

Similarly, there were 564 new cases in Kathmandu Valley in the past 24 hours: Kathmandu 413 cases, Lalitpur 87, and Bhaktapur 64 cases.
