Police nab three on drug-trafficking allegation



KATHMANDU: Police have nabbed three persons allegedly involved in the trafficking of restricted drugs from Kathmandu and Makawanpur on Wednesday.

Issuing a press release in Kathmandu, the police informed that Bishal Karki, 19, of Ramechhap Saldeurali-1 has been arrested with 2,100 tablets of Nitravet from Chandragiri Municipality-2, Nagdhunga on Wednesday morning.

Karki, who was coming to Kathmandu from Mahottari Jaleshwor by Ba 5 Kha 830 bus, was found with the drugs at Nagdhunga checkpoint in Kathmandu.

Similarly, police arrested two persons from Hetauda Sub-metropolis-3, Tintapke, with 60 tablets of Nitravet on Tuesday afternoon. Among the arrested are Rabin Karki, 21, of Morang Biratnagar-4, Morang and a teenager, of Hetauda-3, Makawanpur.

A team of policemen deployed from Lewat Police Post, Makawanpur found the drugs and arrested them.

The local police is investigating further for details.
