Two die in Kathmandu road mishaps



KATHMANDU: Two persons have been killed in two road accidents in Kathmandu.

One person died in a road accident at Amar Singh Chowk of Kageshwari Manohara Municipality-7 and another at New Bus Park.

According to police, a motorcycle, Ba 93 Pa 3310, heading towards Mulpani from Harhar Mahadev crashed into the wall of a house at Amar Singh Chowk on Saturday night.

The deceased has been identified as Nirajan Baral, 31, of Radhe Radhe in Bhaktapur district.

He died at Trauma Center at 10 last night while undergoing treatment, according to police.

The motorcycle had hit the wall of the house while trying to give way to the tipper, Ba 5 Kha 4073, coming from the opposite direction.

The tipper driver has been taken under control by police.

Similarly, a woman pedestrian was killed after being hit by a motorcycle at New Bus Park.

The deceased has been identified as Sunmaya Gurung of Lamjung and currently living in Kathmandu.

She was hit by the motorcycle, Ba 87 Pa 7092, entering New Bus Park from Gongabu at around 7.30 pm on Saturday.
