UML Chair Oli says he pities leader Nepal



KATHMANDU: CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli has said that he felt pity for Unified Socialist Chair Madhav Kumar Nepal when seeing Nepal run here and there across the country.

“I feel sorry for poor Madhav Nepal seeing him run here and there. Carrying his cap on hand, sometimes he is in Pokhara, and sometimes elsewhere,” UML Chair Oli said at a greetings exchange program held by Sindhupalchowk-Kathmandu liaison forum in Kathmandu Saturday.

“But do you know, why he is running around? To inflict harm on the UML,” he added. “He has kept his party’s name socialist but instead of advancing towards socialism, he is hell-bent on dismantling the UML.”

Stating that the Nepali Congress (NC) had been an unstable element for the nation since 1948, he said the NC supported those who split other political parties, referring to the ruling coalition members, including Unified Socialist.

Former Prime Minister Oli did not miss the opportunity to reply to CPN-Maoist Center Chairman Prachanda’s allegations about being spendthrift and claimed that he (Oli) had taken every utensils required to make food for him from home.

Earlier, in a similar program organized in Janakpur, Prachanda had accused Oli of mishandling the state resources to live a luxurious life.
