Nepal records 2,295 new COVID-19 cases, 16 deaths in last 24 hours

906 new cases in Kathmandu Valley



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 2,295 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, out of the 11,892 people who underwent tests through the RT-PCR method, 1,902 persons tested positive for COVID-19 while of the 4,341 Antigen tests, 393 tested positive.

According to the Ministry, 16 people have succumbed to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 1,808 persons have returned home after a complete health recovery from COVID-19.

Similarly, there were 906 new cases in Kathmandu Valley in the past 24 hours: Kathmandu 665 cases, Lalitpur 138, and Bhaktapur 103 cases.
