Nepal sees 3,611 new coronavirus cases in last 24 hours

Kathmandu valley sees 819 new cases



KATHMANDU: The country recorded a total of 3,611 new cases of coronavirus while 1,816 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

Of the confirmed cases, 2,467 were detected through RT-PCR method and 1,144 from antigen-method.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, altogether 27 infected patients died of the virus infection in the past 24 hours. With the recent death toll, total deaths caused due to COVID-19 reached 9,834 in the country.

In the meantime, Kathmandu valley has seen 819 cases of coronavirus in past 24 hours. The Ministry updated that there have been 556 new cases of coronavirus in Kathmandu district whereas Lalitpur and Bhaktapur district witnessed 187 and 76 cases respectively.
