KATHMANDU: Police have raided a liquor factory run by a Chinese national in Thamel.

According to SP Krishna Koirala, 150 drums of illegal alcohol has been seized from a room rented by Chinese national in Jyatha, Thamel.

The Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office raided the house rented by a Chinese national after receiving information that alcohol was being made illegally there.

SP Krishna Koirala informed that 150 drums of liquor at the rate of 50 liters each, a machine used for making liquor and a Chinese national were taken under control from Thamel.

According to Koirala, Chinese nationals have been renting a house in Thamel to make home-made liquor from a machine.

The investigation is undergoing for further details.
