BARA: A pedestrian has died after being hit by a truck at Jitpur Simara Sub Metropolitan City-7, Shantichowk in Bara district.
The deceased has been identified as 22-year-old Rajan Shrestha, a local.
A truck, Bagmati Pradesh, 03 001 Kha 1127, en-route to Simara from Birgunj hit Shrestha at 9 am, said District Police Office, Bara.
Critically injured Shrestha died while being rushed to hospital.
Police said they are investigating the case after taking the truck under control. The truck driver is at large.
