 Journalist and film critic Lama elected FICSON chair



KATHMANDU:  Film Critics Society of Nepal (FICSON) has got a new executive committee led by journalist and film critic Dipendra Lama.

A general meeting of the FICSON held on Monday elected an 11-member committee to lead the organization.

The general meeting elected Samipya Raj Timilsina and Smriti Dhungana as vice chairpersons, Sajana Baral as General Secretary, Bishnu Sharma and Kedar Shrestha (Secretaries), and Prabhakar Gautam as Treasurer.

Similarly, Lenin Banjade, Naresh Phuyal, Abhimanyu Dixit and Raksha Thapa have been elected as members of the committee.

Speaking after his election to the post, Lama said he will render his efforts to widen the scope of the culture of critiquing films during his leadership.

The FICSON is an umbrella organization of the film critics.
