Govt urges Kathmanduites to vaccinate against coronavirus



KATHMANDU: The government has urged all Kathmandu Valley folks to vaccinate themselves against coronavirus.

The Ministry of Health and Population has urged the residents of Kathmandu to administer the vaccine against COVID-19 to lessen the risk of coronavirus.

Joint Spokesperson at the Ministry, Dr Samir Kumar Adhikari, shared that the Ministry has urged all the people above 18 years of Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur to get Vero Cell, Covishield and AstraZenaca vaccine against coronavirus.

People have been asked to get the vaccine from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm in Kathmandu and Lalitpur while from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm in Bhaktapur.

They have been asked to administer vaccine at 11 vaccination centres each in Kathmandu and Lalitpur districts and two in Bhaktapur.

APF Police Hospital, Balambu, Birendra Army Hospital, Chhauni, Nepal Police Hospital, Shukraraj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital, Paropakar Maternity Hospital, Sahid Memorial Hospital, Kalanki, Lotse Building, and New Bus Park are also the vaccination centers.

Likewise, Bir Hospital, Bayodha Hospital, Civil Service Hospital and Apex Polyclinic, Koteshwor in Kathmandu have been determined as vaccination centre.

Similarly, vaccine against coronavirus is to administer at Nepal-Korea Friendship Municipality Hospital, Thimi, and Khopa Hospital, Chyamasingh in Bhaktapur.

Likewise, Patan Hospital, Chhaba-Bahal Public Health Branch, Sainbu Health Post, Bajrabarahi Chapagaun Hospital, Badegaun Primary Health Post, Lele Primary Health Centre, Lubhu Primary Health Centre, Imadole Health Post, Bhattedanda Health Post, Chaughare Health Post and Gotikhel Health Post in Lalitpur have been determined as vaccination centres.
