KATHMANDU: The government has transferred 10 secretaries.

According to high-level sources, the cabinet meeting held Monday has transferred Secretary of the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration Ek Narayan Aryal to the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security while Election Commission Secretary Suresh Adhikari has been transferred to the Ministry of General Administration.

Similarly, Secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Yadav Prasad Koirala has been transferred to the Ministry of Education. Secretary to the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers Maheshwar Neupane has been sent to Tourism Ministry.

Likewise, Secretary of the Energy Commission Mani Ram Gelal has been brought to the Ministry of Urban Development by keeping the controversial Secretary of the Ministry of Urban Development Ramesh Singh in additional (reserve). Secretary Gelal, who has good experience in the technical field, is also known as a hard-working secretary.

Similarly, Secretary at the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security Surya Prasad Gautam and Secretary at Education Science and Technology (Education) Ram Prasad Thapaliya have been shifted to the office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers.

Secretary of the Finance Commission Gokarna Mani Duwadi has been sent to the Election Commission and Secretary to the Prime Minister’s Office Bharat Mani Subedi has been sent to the Finance Commission.
