KATHMANDU: Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has increased the price of petroleum products.
As per the new price list, prices of petrol, diesel and kerosene, have increased by Rs 3 per liter effective from Friday midnight. With this, a liter of petrol will cost Rs 133. Likewise, a liter of diesel and kerosene will cost Rs 116, according to the NOC.
The NOC adjusts the price of petroleum products based on the new price list received from Indian Oil Corporation.
Likewise, domestic and international aviation fuel has been increased by Rs 10 per liter. Thus, the price of domestic aviation fuel will now cost Rs. 96 per liter and the price of international aviation fuel has been fixed at USD 853 per kiloliter.
Similarly, the price of LPG gas has been increased by Rs 50 per cylinder. Now onwards, the LPG gas cylinder will cost Rs 1,500 to consumers, said NOC Spokesperson Puskar Karki.
NOC has stated that prices might be hiked even in the future to cut down its losses as the price of petroleum products in the international market is also on the rise.
